The Logde at Gold River
What to Bring

Packing for Coastal British Columbia

During your stay at The Lodge you will want to be prepared for a wide variety of conditions. Coastal British Columbia weather can vary and conditions can range from very hot to very cold. It is also possible to experience a 20 degree temperature change in one day.

Our best advice to our guests is to consider layering your clothing and pack accordingly. Light layers of fleece or wool that can be removed are always a good option. We do experience heavy rains during the late fall and winter months but rain can fall any day of the year so remember your rain gear!

Comfortable pants, shorts, shoes, shirts, sweater, warm jacket, long johns, swimsuit, and personal toiletries are all that's needed. A laundry service is available for emergencies. Bring your camera, video, batteries, jacks and film. We offer polar fleece snap jackets for sale as well as shirts and hats.

Fishing Gear

Everything is supplied and includes quality Sage rods and Simms waders. You may bring your own fly fishing equipment, although it is not necessary. Two to eleven weight fly fishing gear is needed, depending on the type of fishing and the time of year. Both floating and sink tip lines are used. Terminal tackle and fishing licenses are available at The Lodge and our experienced guide staff will help you with any questions you may have regarding tackle and fishing.
