The Logde at Gold River
Winter/Spring Packages

This winter we are packaging trips to include some of the finest opportunities for you and your guests to enjoy. Our local streams and lakes are well known for exceptional fishing during the winter months from January 15th through to the end of April. We have organized our trips with several choices of itineraries so you can pick the balance of fishing that suits you and your group.

We suggest a Thursday arrival and Sunday departure but we would be happy to accommodate other weekdays if you so desire.

The Gold River has been known for generations as one of the finest steelhead streams on Vancouver Island. Our winter run steelhead start in the river in January and we fish them until the end of April. Along with the Gold there are over a dozen streams in our area that we can target steelhead.

The Homathko River is a large drainage that flows from the highest mountain range on the mainland side of British Columbia. The Homathko fishery is a world class Cutthroat Trout and Dolly Varden (Bull Trout) fishery that produces an enormously large run of quality size fish. Fishing the Homathko is a once in a lifetime experience as you and your guests Helicopter to the head of Bute Inlet amongst 12,000 - 14,000ft mountains that rise out of the sea. The helicopter flight and scenery is breath taking but the fishing is even more spectacular.
